Why Fin.

Less app.
More life.

I built Fin because I wanted a sobriety app that helped me check in, reflect, and then get back to living.

For a long time

For a long time, I thought drinking was something I needed to figure out.

Not because my life was falling apart. Not because I had hit some dramatic rock bottom.

I just knew alcohol was taking up more space in my life than I wanted it to.

I spent years asking the same questions.

Should I cut back?

Should I take a break?

Should I only drink on weekends?

Should I quit completely?

Every attempt seemed to create more rules, more tracking, and more mental energy devoted to the very thing I was trying to think about less.

Eventually, I realized the problem wasn't just the drinking.

It was the constant negotiation.

The thing I couldn't find

When I decided to spend more time alcohol-free, I looked for tools that could help.

I found plenty of options.

Those things help a lot of people.

But they weren't what I needed.

What I wanted was something quieter. A simple place to check in. A place to record a thought. A place to remember why I started.

And then I wanted to close the app and get back to living my life.

I couldn't find that. So I decided to build it.

Less app. More life.

Fin was designed around a simple idea:

The goal isn't to spend more time thinking about sobriety. The goal is to spend less.

The app helps you notice your progress, reflect when it matters, and remember the moments worth keeping. Then it gets out of the way.

Just your journey.

Why "Fin"?

"Fin" means "the end."

Not the end of your story. The end of the debate. The end of bargaining with yourself. The end of wondering if next time will be different.

For me, choosing not to drink wasn't the beginning of something. It was the end of something.

The end of a conversation I was tired of having.

And once that conversation ended, it created space for everything else.

If you're here

Maybe you're sober. Maybe you're sober curious. Maybe you're simply wondering what life looks like with less alcohol in it.

Wherever you are, you're welcome here.

Fin isn't about perfection. It's not about labels. It's not about becoming someone else.

It's about making room for the person you already are.

Thanks for being here.
